The suspension of the Constitution, sidelining of the judiciary, arrests of opposition political leaders, and media blackout will all add to the uncertainty of the on-going crisis. What are the implications for the future of democracy in Pakistan? Is there a political recourse to put an end to the legal and political crisis and facilitate transition to democratic governance? What are the implications for the region and the war on terrorism?
